9 Lessons from the book: What a Time to Be Alone: The Slumflower's Guide to Why You Are Already Enough by Chidera Eggerue:

1.Stop People-Pleasing: You can't make everyone happy, and trying to will just stress you out. Be kind, but focus on your own happiness too. It's okay to say no!

2. Chill with the Comparing: Social media can make it seem like everyone else has a perfect life. But nobody's life is perfect, and you're awesome in your own unique way. Focus on your journey, not someone else's highlight reel.

3. Mind Your Business: Gossiping and getting involved in drama is a waste of time. Focus on your own life and the people who lift you up, not bring you down.

4. Know Your Worth: You were born worthy of love and happiness, no matter what. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Believe in yourself, even on days when you doubt it.

5. Heal Your Heart: Past hurts can hold you back. Take time to deal with them, so you can move on and love yourself and others fully.

6. Forgive and Forget (Mostly): Holding onto anger is like carrying a heavy backpack. Forgive others (and maybe even yourself) for mistakes, and let go of that negativity.

7. Pick Your Crew Wisely: Not everyone deserves your time and energy. Surround yourself with positive people who support your dreams and make you laugh.

8. Be Okay with Being Alone: Spending time by yourself isn't lonely, it's empowering! Get to know yourself better, do things you enjoy, and recharge your batteries.

9. Don't Rush Relationships: The right person will come along when the time is right. Don't settle for someone who just fills a void. Focus on being happy on your own first, then love will follow (maybe).
